The Retreat

Set in the former Bareena Post Office in Newtown, The Retreat is a thoughtfully designed bar and dining space with a warm, European feel. Pavilion Joinery delivered a full joinery package that helped bring the venue’s interior vision to life.

Our scope included custom bar cupboards, a tiled unit at the end of the bar, back bar drawers, and curved timber cladding to soften and define the main bar area. We also built the vanity unit, upholstered banquette seating, and striking red panels that frame the kitchen’s steel surround.

Every element was built to balance form and function contributing to a cohesive and welcoming space. This project highlights our ability to work within heritage settings while delivering tailored craftsmanship, design-led joinery that fits the brief.
